Webmedia eHealth suite.

Learn more about how Webmedia's eHealth suite helps doctors, nurses and medical staff spend more time with their patients

Problem

Tartu University Clinics is a merger of 16 specialty clinics, each with individual treatment processes and documentation. As a result, a critical need emerged for implementing uniform quality standards, ensuring patient medical information privacy and integrating information management. In addition, cost-accounting for services and procedures needed to be implemented.

Solution

Webmedia, in close cooperation with the hospital IT service, started migrating clinics to the localized eHealth Suite Hospital Information System (HIS) with unified core functionalities. Laboratory Information System (LIS) was introduced in selected labs shortly thereafter. Staged implementation and additional functionalities were deployed. During this period, the new HIS worked in sync with legacy HIS and other existing systems to ensure a smooth transition.

Results

In 2010, all 3,500 users in Tartu University use Webmedia’s web-based eHealth Suite on the same platform: Hospital Information System (HIS), Laboratory information system (LIS), Radiology information system (RIS)
